We’ve always offered self catering facilities for our guests even in the early days (over 25 years ago when we chared a kitchen with the guests – that didn’t last long). However, these days we find that far fewer of our guests use the facilities on offer. Most take advantage of the opportunity to eat out – after all they are on holiday. Of course, we can sometimes persuade some people to join us for a meal but there are plenty of choices around the area for an excellent meal out.
Anderson’s
It’s always going to be difficult for us to sample places further afield when we have such an excellent restaurant right on our doorstep. Anderson’s also have a pizza takeaway but eating in is an excellent experience, if inevitably more expensive. However, you can choose anything from a steak or burger to a pizza. The quality of the food is enviable and all the ice cream options are home made.
The Boat Hotel
The Boat offers a full range of meals from breakfast, to lunch and high tea plus obviously dinner.
The Old Bridge Inn
Pride themselves not only on excellent local beers but also excellent locally sourced ingredients and THE place to go for live music.
The Rowan Tree
Excellent imaginative and always well presented menu. Not a cheap venue but well worth a special treat.
